Winter 2024: An Update From Evens & Karina Paul
Dear Friends & Family Members,
It has been a couple of months since I’ve connected with you all regarding the different ways God continues to use our family with all of you in partaking in advancing God’s kingdom work in La Victoire, Haiti. We have been hard at work despite not hearing from our family in a while. As you may know (or may not) my family is living in Chicago, Illinois, because of the political situation that is impacting negatively the families living on the ground in Haiti. It has not been easy at all, but through all that is happening, God has been good to us, and He continues to use our family greatly for His glory.

Last month, I was in Haiti for 17 days, working with the leadership team to prepare for the opening of the schools in the Vieud-Avidtroy compound and the Lospinite community. Haiti has not been doing well at all. We are very thankful to God that La Victoire is still safe, but because of the economic difficulties that the whole country encounters, families are still living in hard conditions. This week, the FAA canceled all flights to Haiti due to the gangs that attacked airplanes flying from the States last week where. American Airlines canceled their flights for 3 months, Spirit Airlines canceled their flights to Haiti for one month, and even Missionary Flight International canceled all the flights to Haiti as well. Haiti has been isolated from the world in this moment of the end of the year which is very bad for the economy.
New Church & School Underway
Something I was blessed to do during my time there was open our new church campus in Lospinite, where families can come to worship at L’eglise Evangelique de la Communaute de Lospinite, which means Evangelical Community Church of Lospinite, La Victoire. We are delighted to witness how God uses us in Liptinite, La Victoire, Haiti.
Another blessing was that we have 54 students in kindergarten at our Worship Center. As of today, we have two schools around LA Victoire with 310 students that come through our doors daily.
Community Development Updates
Regarding the Community Development program, God continues to use our team in a great way as we advance His kingdom work in La Victoire, Haiti, and its surrounding area. This year, several thousands of families have benefitted from female goats and micro-loans to help them fight the hunger situation that devastates the country. I truly believe that God continues to use us mightily in La Victoire, Haiti. We are in a season of hardship for real; please, we need your help more and more than ever before.
Year-end Giving Drive to Fund Schools for 2025!
We would love to connect with you if you want to provide an end-of-the-year gift. Your gift will be directly given to the ministry in Haiti. The people need our help, please join hands with our family in this season so that we can continue to serve the community well. Your generosity goes towards:
-
Feeding 310 students each day
-
Paying a Staff of 150 employees, such as teachers, ministers, and workers in various parts of the Ministry
We also plan to plant a third church in a community called Bahoncy, a rural community of La Victoire, where we will impact more than a thousand children through education and spiritual development. We cannot continue the work in Haiti without joining hands together to help support the families of La Victoire, Haiti.
The economy is so bad that we plan to close the medical clinic for a bit because it struggles to sustain itself. To keep the ministry going in the right direction please help us finish the year very strong.

We Couldn't do this Without God - and You

Blessings,
Evens and Karina Paul.
